Carry out Tree Safety & Risk Assessment Surveys (OTISS).

This application is part of the OTISS survey system, and is usedbyEstate Managers and their staff to carry out tree safetysurveysand condition surveys on outdoor assets (park &streetfurniture, field assets, etc). This app and yourGPS-enabledandroid phone or tablet is an alternative to buyingspecialised andexpensive survey equipment for on-site datacollection. The EstateSurvey app works with the www.otiss.co.ukwebsite to provide arange of maps and tools for carrying out assetand tree safetysurveys, management and report generation. All usersmust firstregister for an account on the OTISS website. A free 30dayevaluation period is allowed, after which an annualsubscriptionwill be charged for continued use of the OTISS system -see theOTISS website for more details. Note: this Estate &AssetSurvey app is free to download, evaluate and use – no chargesaremade to your phone or Android market accounts. The OTISSsystemworks as follows. (i) First, a survey is created on theOTISSwebsite. (ii) The Estate & Asset Survey app is then usedtodownload the survey to the Android device. (iii) The app is usedtocarry out the survey by placing trees, assets and furniture onthemap and entering inspection data. (iv) The survey data isthensync’ed back to the OTISS website. (v) OTISS website providestoolsto view, modify, analyse and generate reports on thecollectedinspection data.
